Winter Activities

Boyd Lake State Park offers year-round recreational opportunities. During winter months, visitors enjoy trail usage, sledding, waterfowl hunting, and ice fishing when conditions permit.

Park visitors participate in winter activities such as ice fishing and cross-country skiing. Winter camping is available in designated areas with facilities.

Winter enthusiasts are encouraged to call the park office for current conditions at (970) 669-1739.

Ice Safety: Before going out onto a frozen lake, pond, or river, it’s important to take safety precautions to reduce the risk of falling through the ice. Knowing how to judge ice conditions will help you make more informed decisions while enjoying winter activities.
