Whether you are an avid hiker, mountain biker or hunter, or you simply appreciate all the Colorado outdoors has to offer, there are many ways you can get involved. Colorado state parks have a variety of employment and volunteer opportunities.

Every year Boyd Lake State Park hires for various positions:
Boyd Lake posts openings year-round with job start dates beginning between February and June.
Positions typically available:
- Visitor Desk Attendants
- Park Entrance Attendants
- Aquatic Invasive Species (ANS) Inspectors
- Maintenance Workers
- Limited-Commissioned Law Enforcement Personnel

Volunteer Opportunities
Boyd Lake State Park offers several volunteer opportunities:
Aquatic Nuisance Species Inspections
Daily interaction with park visitors: get under boats, climb into boats/boat trailers to inspect for ANS and/or decontaminate these areas. Apply Online
Campground Host
Maintain campgrounds, answer visitor questions, and manage camper expectations. Apply Online
Visitor Services
Assist visitors to our Visitor Center by sharing information; selling passes, registrations, firewood, and retail merchandise; answering telephones; monitoring radio communications; data entry; and more. Apply Online
Resident Volunteer
Assist park hosts, check in visitors at the entrance station, and perform landscaping and other park maintenance. Apply Online
