There is a boat ramp located on the peninsula, which affords the ability to pull a boat up to the area. You cannot launch a vessel from here.

Special Activity Agreement for the Group Picnic Area

You’ll need a Special Activity Agreement if you wish to have an activity that is outside the norm for the facility (for example, a bouncy house), including sponsored activities and advertised events regardless of size, any large organized gatherings over 40 people such as baptisms, races, family reunions, dog training, etc., or any short-term commercial use where any money or services are exchanged at the park. If your event is a fishing tournament, there is a separate fishing tournament form.

There are 2024 Blackout dates where strict limitations will apply:

  • No special activities will be approved from May 25-27, June 16, or June 29-July 7
  • Only minimal impact events will be allowed on Saturdays/Sundays from May 18-August 11

If you have questions or aren’t sure if your event requires a permit, contact the front desk at (970) 669-1739 ext 10.

Once your form is completed, please submit it by email to park manager Eric Grey.
