Fruita Section Facilities

The Fruita Section offers year-round camping and recreation with 57 campsites (22 full hook-up with 50 amp connections, 22 electric with 30 amp connections, 13 walk-in tent sites) plus group facilities. Contact: (970) 858-9188

With magnificent views of both the Colorado National Monument and the Book Cliffs area, the Fruita section offers restrooms, a walkway along the Colorado River, and a large Visitor Center. Nearby are renowned mountain biking trails, dinosaur sites, and red rock hiking. This westernmost park section is open year-round for great camping along with land and water-based recreational activities.

Zebra Mussel Infestation: Red Rocks Lake in the Fruita Section has the designation of “infested” for zebra mussels.
