Boat Ramps

The Corn Lake, Connected Lakes, and Fruita sections of the park maintain boat ramps to the Colorado River. There are no boat ramps to any of the park lakes as trailered watercraft are not permitted. A park pass is required to park staging vehicles on the parks.​

Campgrounds

All campsites have fire rings, picnic tables, and stand-up grills.

Fruita

The Fruita section has 57 sites (22 full-hook up, 22 electric, 13 tent) available as well as one group camping area which has 6 sites.

Island Acres

The Island Acres section has 80 campsites (40 full hook-up, 34 electric, 6 tent) available.

Duck Blinds

Island Acres, Corn Lake, the Wildlife Area, Pear Park, and 34 Road offer hunting blinds during the waterfowl hunting season and are available by reservation only. Waterfowl hunting is allowed during the waterfowl season from the designated blinds only.

  • Blinds can be reserved 14 days in advance until noon the previous day by visiting CPW.shop.com or by calling (800) 244-5613
  • See the James. M Robb Hunting page for hunting information.
  • Any trail users should remain on the trail and be aware hunters may be in the blinds.

Dump Station

Dump stations are available at the Fruita (March through November) and Island Acres (April through October) sections of the park for registered campers. A minimum campsite must be purchased for those not camping, in addition to a vehicle pass, in order to use the dump stations.

Group Campground

The Fruita campground has one Group Camping Area accommodating 36 people and 6 campers or up to 12 tents. The area is comprised of 6 electric sites. Call the park office for reservations (970) 858-9188.

Group Picnic Area

Group picnic areas are available at the Fruita and Island Acres sections of the park. Call for reservations: Fruita office (970) 858-9188, Island Acres office (970) 464-0548.

Picnic Sites

The Island Acres, Corn Lake, Connected Lakes, and Fruita sections of the park offer picnic sites with tables and in-ground or pedestal grills.

Showers

Showers at the Fruita and Island Acres sections of the park are open for spring, summer, and fall use. The shower building at Island Acres is typically open from April 1st through October 31st each year. Fruita’s shower building is open from the second weekend in March to November 15.

Swim Beach

  • The Island Acres swim beach is open May through September. No dogs, glass, fires, or boats are allowed within the swim area.
  • Fruita’s swim beach is closed indefinitely.

Trails

All trails of James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park are included in the Colorado Riverfront Trail System. The gentle grades of these trails are great for an afternoon stroll, bike ride, or challenging run. Please ensure all pets remain leashed and cleaned up after.
