Fishing
James M. Robb Colorado River State Park offers diverse year-round fishing opportunities across approximately 100 surface acres of water, including quiet ponds and river waters for both warm and cold water species. The Connected Lakes Section features ADA-accessible fishing piers.
Fruita, Corn Lake, and Island Acres are stocked throughout the year. Fishing is excellent during spring and early summer seasons. Ice fishing is permitted when ice thickness is adequate - always check ice conditions and thickness at each park section.
Hand-carry and electric motorized vessels are permitted on the lakes at Fruita, Connected Lakes, Corn Lake, and Island Acres. Boating and surface contact are not allowed at the Colorado River Wildlife Area.
Our park is great for people looking for something relaxing and close to the Grand Junction Area. Check out all five sections of the park. See the Maps and Directions link to find your way to the park.
