Colorado State Parks

Hunting

Hunting at Jackson Lake is very popular and for good reason; the park is located within the “Golden Triangle” for migratory birds.

Hunting is not allowed within 100 yards of open campgrounds, trails, or buildings.

Hunting for waterfowl and upland bird hunting is allowed. Waterfowl hunting can be decoyed along the shoreline and ponds. Upland birds can be found in all of the designated areas as well as rabbit, squirrel, pheasant, and dove. All designated hunting areas in the park are open seven days a week.

For Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) access, park at the Inlet. All vehicles must have a valid parks pass. All roads on BOR property are closed to the public.
