About Jackson Lake

As novelist James Michener stated, Jackson Lake has long been known as “an oasis of the plains.”

Jackson Lake State Park has increased in popularity over the years with many user groups, including but not limited to, boaters, hunters, anglers, campers, astrotourists, and wildlife observers. Anyone who enjoys the outdoors is sure to find a part of Jackson Lake State Park that they love.

In September 2020, Jackson Lake State Park became a Certified Dark-Sky Place with the International Dark-Sky Association. To join the dark-sky movement, visit darksky.org.

Camping

Jackson Lake is a premier camping location in northeastern Colorado.

  • Reservations can be made the day you plan to arrive at the park or up to 6 months in advance.

Marina

Jackson Lake State Park operates the Shoreline Marina, open from May through September.

  • Sells ice, cold drinks, tackle, boating supplies, snacks, apparel, and firewood
  • Rentals available for Stand-up Paddleboards and Lily Pads.
