Red Barn Group Picnic Area
Red Barn Group Picnic Area provides a rustic setting for large get-togethers. This area is equipped with sheltered picnic tables, large charcoal grill, campfire ring, playground, volleyball court, horse shoe pit, and vault toilets. Two historic barns, renovated with electrical outlets and lights, cover the tables. Many visitors enjoy using this site for family reunions, office picnics, neighborhood parties, weddings, and graduation receptions. No linens or decorations are provided by the park, please plan accordingly. Visitors can take in a wonderful view of a nearby open meadow and creek, enjoy the nearby fishing areas and hiking trails. Guests must provide their own net, ball, and horseshoes. No potable water is available on site. Red Barn is located on the east side of the park on Crawford Gulch Road east of the Visitor Center.
Capacity: Seating for 100 people, no more than 150 allowed at this site per event. There are 11 picnic tables total between the two barns (8ft x 3ft).
Times: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Parking: Restricted to 25 vehicles. Carpooling is recommended.

Reservations
The earliest that bookings can be made is exactly 6 months in advance of the day. Payment in full is required to reserve any of our group facilities at Golden Gate.
Red Barn is open for events from May through October.
Please be aware that inclement weather does not entitle you to a refund, and that late spring snow storms are common in the area.

Reservations can be made up to six months in advance to the day of the requested reservation date.

Refunds/Cancellations: No refunds due to inclement weather or fire bans. Cancellation fee shall be equal to 25% of the base fee if the cancellation is made 15 or more days prior to the reserve date. If the cancellation is made within 14 days of the reserved date then the cancellation fee shall be 100% of the base fee.
