Trinidad Lake Overview

This beautiful lake in Southern Colorado has a mild climate and a long season. Trinidad Lake offers great boating, camping, fishing, wildlife viewing and is the best place in the world to view the KT Boundary. The KT Boundary is a layer of ash deposited deep within sedimentary rock that indicates a cataclysmic event that ended the age of the dinosaurs.

The park offers very ample and modern facilities for the whole family including a visitor’s center with educational displays, interpretive trails, coin-op laundry, RV hookups, and coin-op showers.
