Weddings at Lory State Park

Experience the beauty of Colorado and plan a one-of-a-kind outdoor wedding at Lory State Park. With easy and convenient access from Fort Collins, Lory makes an ideal wedding location. The natural surroundings and beautiful lake views provide a great backdrop for wedding photos and lasting memories with friends and family. Lory’s three scenic locations can accommodate from 50 to 100+ guests and offer a variety of amenities. For more information, please call the Lory Visitor Center at (970) 493-1623. SOLDIER CANYON

Recommended for large special events

  • Capacity: 100+ people, 50+ vehicles
  • Fee:
    • Monday-Friday $150.00 / 2 hours (Plus $10.00 Reservation Fee)
    • Saturday or Sunday $300.00/2 hours (Plus $10.00 Reservation Fee)

Soldier Canyon picnic area offers a scenic setting nestled beside a beautiful section of the park’s red sandstone hogbacks. This is the only facility that offers electricity and water. For reservations please contact the Park Office at (970) 493-1623.

TIMBER

  • Capacity: 100 people, 40 vehicles (maximum)
  • Fee:
    • Monday-Friday $100.00
    • Saturday or Sunday $150.00

Timber group picnic area is nestled in the mouth of Soldier Canyon, creating a private setting off the beaten path. The area is surrounded by plains cottonwoods and rolling hills to the south. This site has a covered picnic shelter, toilets, grills, horseshoe pit (horseshoes available to rent for $5.00/day, available at Visitor Center), volleyball court, and a seasonal waterfall nearby. SOUTH ELTUCK

  • Capacity: 50 people, 35 vehicles (maximum)
  • Fee:
    • Monday-Friday $75.00
    • Saturday or Sunday $125.00

Eltuck site sits in a rolling meadow just off the shoreline of Horsetooth Reservoir. The red sandstone hogbacks offer a striking background to the grassy meadows where mule deer can be found grazing. Amenities include: 7 covered picnic tables, 3 pedestal BBQ grills, horseshoe pit (horseshoes available to rent for $5.00/day, available at Visitor Center), and vault toilets.
