Colorado State Parks

Hunting

Waterfowl hunters will find both a challenging and rewarding experience bagging their limit of geese, mallards, teal, bufflehead, wigeons, or gadwalls on this reservoir. All blinds must be removed from the park every night.

Hunters seeking larger game can find mule deer and the occasional pronghorn antelope. Jackrabbits and coyotes are abundant for small game hunters.

Waterfowl, big game, and small game hunting are permitted in areas that are not closed to hunting during lawful hunting seasons established by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Areas closed to hunting include, but are not limited to, any location that is within 100 yards of any building, boat ramp, or picnic facility.

All Colorado Parks and Wildlife hunting statutes and regulations are strictly enforced.
