Boat Ramps

East and West Boat Ramps are open annually from March 15 - Oct 31.

All boats must be inspected prior to launching.

East and West Boat Ramps are closed annually on Nov 1 until March 14 the following year for waterfowl resting.

Please do not park vehicles on the boat ramps. Trailered launching from any other location on the lake is prohibited. Swimming and fishing are also prohibited on or near the ramps.

Camper Services Building

The Camper Services Building is located in the Lake Hasty Campground. It offers flush toilet facilities, coin-operated showers, and coin-operated laundry facilities. Laundry facilities remain open, but showers and the North Restroom building are closed Nov 1. Showers re-open April 1 and the North Restroom building re-opens April 15.

We do provide a single stall flush restroom with shower that is handicapped accessible year round.

Campgrounds

The Lake Hasty Campground is all electric (20, 30, and 50 amps at each site).

  • Back-in sites are at least 60 feet long, and pull-through sites are at least 120 feet long, accommodating any size RV, motor home, trailer, camper or tent.
  • Natural or man-made shade is available at each site in Lake Hasty.
  • Potable water is available in the Lake Hasty Campground, and the dump station is just across the road.

The Point Campground has basic sites (no RV hookups) for when the summer gets busy, with sites overlooking the reservoir.

Conference Rooms

This facility is located in the park visitor center and has excellent views of the lake and amazing sunsets. This room can be reserved year-round for meetings, classes, and trainings. The facility includes Air Conditioning and/or heating, access to the restroom facility in the visitor center, drinking fountain, seating for up to 20 - 30 attendees at the large conference table, a kitchenette with microwave, sink and coffee pot, electrical outlets, available slide projector and overhead projector, and TV/DVD cart. Dump Station

A dump station is located across the road from the Lake Hasty Campground.

Entrance Station

Park entrance is allowed 24 hours a day. If the station is closed, please use the self-service station to purchase your required pass.

Fishing Piers

The accessible fishing pier is located on the west side of Lake Hasty.

Picnic Sites

Tables and fire rings are located by the shore or in shaded areas and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You may not use campsite picnic tables and fire rings if you are not camping in that campsite.

Showers

Coin-operated showers are located in the Camper Services Building at the Lake Hasty Campground. A park pass is required to use the Campers Services. Showers are closed October 31 to March 31.

Swim Beach

The swim beach is located on Lake Hasty, a 1/4 mile walk from the campground. It is open Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Trails

The Red Shin Hiking Trail begins at the stilling basin below John Martin Dam. It winds through the park for approximately 4.3 miles to the Santa Fe Trail Historic Site on the north shore of the reservoir, providing excellent opportunities to view wildlife, Native American rock art, historic buildings and canals, and part of the original Santa Fe Trail.
