Camping

John Martin Reservoir State Park offers year-round camping with 213 total campsites across two campgrounds. All camping requires reservations, which can be made up to six months in advance.

Lake Hasty Campground

109 sites with electrical hookups located below the dam, open year-round. All sites accommodate any size RV, motor home, trailer, camper, or tent (minimum 60 feet long). The Lake Hasty area features accessible parking spaces and campsites for people with disabilities.

Amenities:

• Electrical hookups (20, 30, and 50 amp) at each site
• Camper services building with flush restrooms, laundry room, and coin-operated showers (April 1 - October 31)
• Fish-cleaning station (April 1 - September 30)
• Year-round dump station and potable water
• Playground and natural/man-made shade at each site

Winter Camping: 51 sites remain open with limited facilities.

The Point Campground

The Point Campground is a basic campground with 104 sites located on the north shore of John Martin Reservoir.

Sites 61-73, & 76-96 are closed from Nov 1 to March 15 for bald eagle resting.

• There are vault toilets available in each loop; however, there are no electrical hookups or water. People camping at the Point Campground are welcome to use any of the facilities at John Martin Reservoir State Park.
• Sites 242-279 in the Point Campground are open year-round.
